It occurred to me that even people who have been part of the Future Resources community for years might not know the full scope of who we are, what we do, or how we do it, so I thought this could be a great time to reintroduce ourselves.
💜 WHAT IS FUTURE RESOURCES?
We are a self-started, self-funded initiative based on the pluralism of opinions and perspectives.
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2020, we wanted to address the lack of a central database for foresight, research, and strategy resources.
As a non-registered business, we do not raise funds, except for no-strings-attached donations. This is how we keep our creative integrity intact.
The core of the content we share focuses on promoting and informing on progressivism, development, equality, sustainability, innovation and futures.
Our team and members have no restrictions regarding what can and cannot be shared, as long as it helps democratize foresight and create a fairer world for all.
🎯 WHAT ARE OUR MAIN GOALS?
Educate people about foresight and all its power;
Decolonize the foresight industry by making it accessible to all;
Highlight futures thinking as tools for empowerment, hope, agency, and justice;
Create a safe space for womxn & non-binary people to learn, flourish, and succeed.
🤝 HOW DO WE ACTION OUR GOALS?
Promoting non-European and North American perspectives, innovations, companies, thought leaders, initiatives, etc.
Presenting an alternative to a White, male, cis, heteronormative, Global North, privileged-dominated industry.
Highlighting content from the Global South as leaders of futures, not followers - since mainstream media tends to portray these countries as poor, violent, and incapable of producing relevant content that tackles today’s and tomorrow’s issues.
Becoming a hub for professionals working with global futures, people transitioning to futures studies, and futures enthusiasts (regardless of their financial situation, geographical location, origin, body shape, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race, etc.).
🌐 WHERE DO WE DO IT?
Our ecosystem consists of free, futures-related content in various formats (visual, written, classes, chats, lives, databases, etc.) and languages.
Everyone is invited to submit content of any kind to be featured on Future Resources. You can do it yourself on the platform directly, or by getting in touch with the FED WhatsApp Community admins.

Founded by Brazilian foresight strategist Lydia Caldana 🇧🇷🇮🇹, the Future Resources community has grown into a team of volunteers, including Luciana Moletta 🇧🇷, Victoria Oliveira 🇧🇷, Sophie Ekwe-Bell 🇫🇷, Camilly Vitoria 🇧🇷, Cynthia Hansen 🇧🇷 and Lucas Mirabella 🇧🇷.
